Freaky February 2001

So, I got it going on now. You can check out my journal in 6 languages — I don't know if more people will read, but now they don't have to worry about silly little things like language barriers.

My training is still moving along well, and today I busted through another running barrier. I just concentrated on my form and economy, and was able to take 45 seconds off my 5-mile run. I will continue to work on this. In just a few more days I will be stepping up my training to coincide with the first triathlon of the season down in Mexico. It will be hard at first — two long workouts a few times a week — but with proper planning I am sure to be able to do this.

Another thing I have going on is the scheduling of my races. A few of them are either full, or on the same day. I will have to look at this in more detail and pick the best races for my point standings. I have an ultimate mission, but it's too early to announce it here. Perhaps later.

I love this holiday, but sadly the groundhog saw his shadow — 6 more weeks of winter. However, we have not seen winter in the Pacific Northwest. Maybe we need some sort of West Coast groundhog. Any ideas?

Well, the world is still here, and that's always a good thing. Not much news. I might buy some Amazon.com stock next week if the price comes down to $8. I still don't know if I will — just something to do.

As for my training, that is moving along well, and I will step it up on Tuesday. On the money front, things are very good, and as long as I don't squander it on something silly — like court fines — then I will be in good shape.
